Celebrating the holiday season and Durham's diversity, AADE’s annual Kwanzaa celebration is a time to enjoy family, community, and culture. Kwanzaa itself is a seven-day holiday that celebrates a different principle each day. AADE’s KwanzaaFest takes place on the seventh day of Kwanzaa, which is dedicated to Imani, or faith. Join us on January 1st, at the Walltown Recreation Center, 1308 West Club Blvd. Durham, NC 27705, The doors will open at 11am to the public, there will be a Credit Repair / Home Buying Seminar at 12 noon, Children's Village beginning at 12:30, Free Face painting and goodie bags, Special Guest Appearance by Muddy the MudCat, a marketplace with a wide range of vendors, and the program will begin at 2:00pm. here will be food, dancing, face painting, drum classes, and a marketplace filled with vendors and community groups.
