Celebrating the holiday season and Durham's diversity, AADE’s annual Kwanzaa celebration is a time to enjoy family, community, and culture. Kwanzaa itself is a seven-day holiday that celebrates a different principle each day. AADE’s KwanzaaFest takes place on the seventh day of Kwanzaa, which is dedicated to Imani, or faith.Kwanzaa is a celebration for ALL people, focusing on family, friends, and the fruits of the earth. . Join us on January 1st, at the Durham Armory, 220 Foster Street Durham, NC 27701, The doors will open at 12pm to the public, Children's Village beginning at 12:30, Free Face painting, drum circle, and Davis goodie bags, a marketplace with a wide range of vendors, and the program will begin at 2:00pm.
