Founded in 1955 under the leadership of Agricultural Education teacher Mr. Kenneth Wilbanks, the Bellaire FFA has remained an organization committed to the same principals and goals as the National FFA, and has remained a strong presence on the Bellaire High School campus. Continuing with the leadership of Mr. Isaac Carter, Mr. Joe Gaither, Mr. Joel King, Mr. James Kimmey, Mr. Mark Peak, and currently Mr. Scott Neumann and Vanessa Collier, the Bellaire FFA has evolved over the past 62 years as a very active organization within our community as well as the best FFA program in HISD! Aside from their agricultural curriculum, students have the opportunity to participate in many activities throughout the year including hands on experience raising and showing market or breeding animals, leadership and development competitions, community service projects, fundraisers, conventions, as well as participation in county and major livestock shows. This iyear we will be hosting the 57th Annual Bellaire FFA Livestock Show and Auction on April 6-8, 2017.
