Bestival takes costumes seriously. If you don’t bring your own, keep an eye out for the studio tents that can take you through the costume making process. There’s an annual theme, and they can help you fit in with the crowd.
Each year, hundreds of couples get married at the Big Love Inflatable Church on the festival grounds.
Give in to the carnival atmosphere
With marching bands, burlesque performers, big top tent events, and major musical acts playing across multiple stages, you can’t help but feel the joy.
If you can’t make the fall festival, organizers recently launched Camp Bestival.
Since the Isle of Wight is an island, you’ll need to catch a ferry, which depart from Southampton, Portsmouth, and Lymington. Accommodations are readily available in the towns of Newport, Ryde, Cowes, East Cowes and Yarmouth and include hotels, B&Bs, caravan parks, and campgrounds. Shuttles conveniently run from each town to the festival site.
