According to MaineToday.com Boothbay Harbor Fest is among the Top 101 Things to Do when visiting the state of Maine and was voted Best New England Fall Events by Yankee Magazine. Signature Events Include: Food Tastings and Live Music at 16 Waterfront Venues, Cocktail Competition, Half Marathon, 5k, Art & Vintage Market, Food Trucks and a very funky Fashion Show featuring original designs made with fishing materials. A Taste of Local Flavor 8/30-9/2: 3 days of food tastings and live music at 16 local restaurants for $15 (purchase before 7/31, price increases to $20 pp on 8/1) 5k & Half Marathon 9/1: The perfect destination races! Bring your family and friends along to enjoy a fun filled weekend on the coast of Maine. Both courses offer the best scenery Maine has to offer, from rocky coast to tidal rivers to nature preserves. The East Side Vibe Vintage, Arts & Music Festival 9/7-8: 2 days of Maine Artisans & Vintage Market, Food Trucks, Live Music and Family fun on the waterfront for $10! Fishin' For Fashion Show 9/7: Original designs inspired by the sea... Creativity abounds at this one of a kind fashion show that dazzles its audience each year at Harbor Fest. Talented designers debut original designs made only with materials from the marine industry, using everything from tarps and fishing line, to shrink wrap and lobster traps. Local merchants also hit the runway with their unique wares and local students help produce the show. Proceeds benefit the BRHS Project Graduation. Boothbay Harbor Fest is a waterfront celebration of coastal New England lifestyle. The non-traditional festival format takes attendees on an adventure around the Boothbay peninsula to experience local foods, music, art, culture and stunning natural landscape. ‘The mission is to showcase and support our small business community in a creative and authentic Maine format’ says festival producer Lori Reynolds. Our festival fans love that every event is totally unique and different than other events. They are able to enjoy ocean views and breathe the salt air while attending every event.’ Boothbay Harbor Fest always kicks off Labor Day weekend and closes the following weekend.
