The Boston Contemporary Dance Festival draws a diverse array of contemporary dance artists from across the United States to Boston. With dozens of talented companies performing on August 12th, 2017, BCDF aims to inspire and build a strong contemporary dance community. This year, 31 contemporary dance companies and choreographers were selected to present their work. New York City based Doug Varone and Dancers will headline this year’s festival. The festival will be the Boston premiere of their new work, folded. BCDF will feature a 2:00pm showcase of Boston-based artists and a 7:30pm showcase of artists from around the nation.
