About This Festival
BottleRock Napa Valley has become the kick-off event to San Francisco’s Bay Area’s summer festivities. Held at the Napa Valley Expo, this festival brings together 100,000 attendees for a 3-day celebration of great music. The insider secret here is that BottleRock delivers all the creature comforts that make the Napa Valley a must visit destination—world class wines, excellent cuisine, and beautiful surroundings enveloped in warm days followed by cool nights. Add to that mix incredible sight lines at all its stages, fewer bodies than most festivals with comparable lineups, a terrific location smack-dab in the middle of a charming and walk-able town in Wine Country.
Headliners this year include Stevie Wonder, Florence + The Machine, and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Beyond the headliners, BottleRock’s lineup is filled with 70+ great acts. With that many choices, it might be difficult to decide which of the 4 stages to stake out, but the simple layout of the festival at the Napa Valley Expo takes the stress of choosing one or the other out of the equation; the longest walk you’ll have to take between stages is about 5 minutes.
Past lineups have been consistently impressive, boasting headliners like The Avett Brothers, Snoop Dogg, Jackson Browne, The Cure, OutKast, The Flaming Lips, No Doubt, Robert Plant, Imagine Dragons, Public Enemy, De La Soul, Kings of Leon, Jane's Addiction, Third Eye Blind, and many more. Indeed, there's always something for everyone.
The History of Napa Wine, Food and Art
For years, the Napa Valley has been heralded for its best known product – wine. Naturally, food followed because what’s wine without a great meal? The Napa Valley boasts more Michelin stars than any other agricultural region, with names like Thomas Keller, Christopher Kostow, Masaharu Morimoto and Michael Chiarello making Napa Valley their culinary home.
As the Valley matured, the arts began emerging as the third pillar. Incredible sculpture, architecture, fine galleries and museums now dot the Valley, and musical venues like the art deco beauty Uptown Theatre, the vibrant City Winery, the state-of-the-art Lincoln Theater in tiny Yountville and a variety of smaller venues, restaurants, even tasting rooms offer world class and eclectic musical performances.
Then came BottleRock, and with it, the Napa Valley was on the musical map. Through BottleRock, tens of thousands of musical fans have discovered the charms of the Napa Valley.
Today, Napa Valley boasts more that 400 wineries, world class dining, numerous arts events and unparalleled hospitality, making it one of the world’s top destinations year after year.

Napa is not just about wine, though. There’s also beer! BottleRock will be pouring a dozen of local craft brews in the beer garden! Local mainstays Lagunitas, Anchor brewing, Blue Moon and Napa Smith will be on BottleRock’s craft beer lineup.
And don’t forget the food. Yes, you’ll find your typical festival food, but this is the heart of Wine Country, so you should expect to discover real treats like sushi from Morimoto, organic wood-fired pizzas with the most authentic Italian ingredients from Ca’Momi, farm-fresh comfort food from Mustards Grill and Cole's Chop House, the best BBQ pulled pork sandwich from The Q and the amazing flavors of Three Twins Ice Cream (try Dad’s Cardamom, it’s to die for).
