Everfest's Take

From the Organizer

Don't miss out on this family friendly festival that commemorates the Battle of the Brandywine which took place on September 11th, 1777. Come relive history with your family, friends and dogs right here in Chadds Ford on September 9-10th from 10am-7pm Saturday and 10am-5pm Sunday. The Chadds Ford Historical Society is hosting the 52nd annual Chadds Ford Days Festival. This festival includes over 40 of the area’s finest craftsmen and demonstrators, military reenactors, children's games and so much more. There are live bands performing throughout both days, including local favorites the Steve Liberace Band, and Seven Rings. The bands perform acoustic duos, classic rock, alternative rock and more. There is plenty of delicious food available from local restaurants and specialty food vendors. If you are a beer or wine lover don’t worry; we have a selection of local adult beverages available! While all this is going on there are guided tours of our historic properties including the John Chads house and the Barn Visitors Center which features exhibits on the Battle of Brandywine and a plein air art show featuring local watercolor artists. Our colonial demonstrators teach their craft and even offer items for sale. Skills vary from basket weaving, wood turning, pottery, chair caning and more. Revolutionary War reenactors dress their part and bring replicate muskets, cannons and bayonets. Chadds Ford Days is held on the grounds of Chadds Ford Historical Society, 1736 N. Creek Road, Chadds Ford, PA. Dogs are welcome to attend but must be on a leash. Admission is $10 for adults 18 and older; Children 17 and under are free; CFHS members are free with membership card.
