From the Organizer
For 40 years, Clearwater Jazz Holiday has enriched Clearwater’s cultural community with a unique destination for world-class music that unites a diverse population, creates audiences for jazz, and provides performance opportunities for established and emerging musicians. A once ragtag concert series produced by the Clearwater Chamber to promote tourism, the festival has evolved into an annual, international, multi-genre celebration with a unique jazz heritage featuring a high profile lineup of legendary and contemporary artists. One of the longest-running and known events in the country, the Clearwater Jazz Holiday has presented in concert multiple luminaries of our generation. The magic of the Clearwater Jazz Holiday emanates from its long-time collaboration with the City of Clearwater, Visit St Petersburg/Clearwater, Ruth Eckerd Hall, and hundreds of volunteers that orchestrate every chord of the Jazz Holiday, a celebration of the most recognized and emerging national, regional, and local artists. The festival features a combination of legendary and relevant musical artists and a gathering of an amazingly diverse fan base with a broad age demographic. CJH’s diverse lineup covers a wide array of musical styles: straight ahead and smooth jazz, swing, blues, jamband, folk, Americana, funk, rock/pop and Zydeco, and showcases a new generation of artists and emerging stars.
