Getting There
Book a flight to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, and then rely on a cab or a rideshare to get to Lafayette Square. It’s a mile south of the French Quarter and is relatively easy to get to as long as you don’t plan on driving.
Lodging
You’ll be pretty close to the French Quarter and many other hotspots, so you should have no trouble finding accomodations.
The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation
Known for sponsoring many successful festivals and concerts throughout the year, the Jazz & Heritage Foundation created the free Crescent City Blues & BBQ Festival after Hurricane Katrina ripped through the city in 2005. Funds raised through auctions and other means benefit the long-running Heritage School of Music, a free music education program.
