For the 3rd consecutive year entertaining thousands, we bring you the Prohibition-inspired “Great Gatsby Lawn Party”! As warmer temperatures begin to creep upon us and with the tastes and sounds of summer in the air, return with Dardanella to a simpler time of music, dancing, tasty treats, and savory libations! A chance to step back to the end of the 1st World War, Prohibition’s Volstead Act (in memoriam), the success of Women’s Suffrage, and the roaring sights and sounds of the 1920’s! Sprawled out ‘neath old oaks, return to a bygone era when flapper dresses, cloches, gloves, boater hats, and bowties reigned supreme! The era of the gentleman and the lady returns on this wonderful afternoon with a full 12 piece orchestra playing music diligently transcribed from the 1920’s along with other musical guests and delights from the epoch. With a full day to warm up your feet with a basic Charleston step or try something a little more complicated, we have plenty of dance lessons if you’re learning for the first time as well as dance performances to show you how it’s done! Come play a round of croquet or join in our new Ancient & Traditional games to test your mettle against your fellow compatriots culminating in an all out tug-o-war! If that doesn’t strike your fancy, seek out our paper moon to get a photograph of you and yours! Specialty alcoholic cocktail bars, food, and beverages all await! (available for purchase) So come one, come all! Shine those shoes, pin your hair, pull out those pearls, pick the perfect rouge, and roll up those stockings of yester-year!
