From the Organizer
The Elora Festival is a 3-weekend (Thursday to Sunday) indoor and outdoor festival held from July 12 – 28, 2019. The event focuses on performances in vocal/choral and chamber music, in such genres as classical, international music, jazz, popular/contemporary, and adult contemporary. In 2019, as part of the 40th anniversary of the festival, the event will feature film presentations and theatrical performances. While many of the events are individually ticketed, there are a number of events made free to the public, including a festival kick off with one of the region’s largest firework displays. Artistic Director, Mark Vuorinen, continues the tradition of programming a wide range of genres. The guest musicians, conductors, singers, entertainers, and artists who have appeared at the Elora Festival over its many years of making beautiful music include such popular Canadian luminaries as Maureen Forrester, Gordon Lightfoot, Holly Cole, Sarah McLachlan, Moe Kaufman, Dame Cleo Laine, Jesse Cook, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Andre Laplante, Dame Kiri te Kanawa, Dawn Upshaw, Randy Bachman, Ben Heppner, Steven Page and many more.
