Get on the parade route
Arrive early and see as many parades as you can (it’s a great way to witness the town’s transformation from daily life to all-encompassing frenzy). With all the late-night partying, it’s not uncommon for parades to start 2 hours late.
Money well spent
Avoid the crowds by paying $10 for a grandstand seat.
Bring the whole family
Throughout the festivities, there are many activities and traditions suitable for the whole family. Be sure to do your research!
It pays to have a place to pee
Many restaurants don’t have public toilets, and bars will charge to use their facilities during peak hours, so it pays to book a well-located hotel in the French Quarter.
