I fun-filled, family friendly event celebrating the local agriculture that we are best known for in Oceana County; Asparagus! The festival includes the crowning of the only Asparagus Queen in the country, who travels the state all year long to promote this super vegetable that we are known for. The pageant fundraiser, where the queen is chosen, is held the week before the festival, where she will make her big debut as the Asparagus Queen. Other festival events include a 5k run, family and kids entertainment, a parade, the "Taste of Asparagus" food show, an arts & crafts fair, an entertainment tent with a live band, and a tour of a local asparagus farm where growing information is shared by the actual owners that know it best! Come join us for this great tradition each year in June!
