From the Organizer
African Film Festival, Inc. (AFF) was founded in 1990. Its flagship program, the New York African Film Festival (NYAFF) launched in 1993. This program takes place annually in collaboration with Film Society of Lincoln Center, Maysles Cinema Institute, and Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) and other NYC institutions. Whenever possible, NYAFF invites filmmakers to New York City to present their work and hold post-screening discussions with a wide range of audiences. Our round-table forums also allow African filmmakers to connect with film industry professionals and media scholars in the USA.
