Getting There
If you’re coming from out of town, fly into Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. City Park is pretty much a straight shot down Interstate 10 E from there. You can rent a car at the airport, or you can take public transportation including street cars, buses, cabs and biking. There is even bike valet on site if you choose to ride your bike to the festival.
Lodging
New Orleans has a bunch of lodging options including hotels, hostels, B&Bs and more for all budgets. Your best bet is to stay somewhere close with easy access to public transportation.
Drink Tickets
You need drink tickets in order to sample beer and other products (in case you don’t like beer):
- 3 oz samples of commercial beers range from 1-3 tickets
- 9 oz pours of commercial beers range from 3-7 tickets
- 3 oz homebrew, brewpub and meadery samples are 2 tickets each
Drink Responsibly
There’s no need to get sloppy here. Sample slowly and remember to savor the flavor of each beer you try. Make sure you drink water and eat food from the food vendors to soak up the alcohol in your system.
Bring Your Dog!
Finally, a festival for your best friend! Put a leash on ‘em and bring them with you! Leashes are required, and no aggressive dogs are allowed.
