The Rochester International Film Festival is a 3-day event held each Spring, during which we screen dozens of short films for near-capacity crowds at George Eastman Museum’s recently renovated Dryden Theatre in Rochester, NY. Despite stiff competition, we've been voted BEST LOCAL FILM FESTIVAL three years running (2014, 2015 and 2016) by readers of CITY Magazine. The fest has been produced by Movies On A Shoestring, Inc.—a 100% volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) nonprofit—since 1959. As such, it's the longest-running, continually-held, Short Film festival in the world.
