Forever Beaumore Cosmetics, Inc and Friends of Hue Foundation will hold the Fourth Biannual Áo Dài Festival, "Sơn Tinh Thuỷ Tinh" on May 15th, 2016 at 4:30 PM at The Fairmont San Jose hotel, 170 South Market Street, San Jose, California. The production includes a free outdoor Áo Dài Walk at 4:30 PM, which will begin at Cesar Chavez Park and will end with a performance at the Circle of Palms Plaza. The Áo Dài Walk is inlcluded in the story of "Sơn Tinh Thuỷ Tinh Part I", in which Princess Mỵ Nương will meet her suitors. There will be horses, stilt walkers and fifty musicians, drummers, and performers to officially start the Áo Dài Festival IV. The outdoor segment is free to the public. It will be followed by a formal evening event in the Fairmont Imperial Ballroom starting at 5:30 PM for guests who have purchased tickets in advance. The indoor event includes a cocktail hour and jazz performance, where wine and hor d'oeuvres will be served. It also includes the Dong Son Bronze Drum exhibition, other cultural artifacts, live auction, and a formal dinner show with the theatrical performance of "Sơn Tinh Thuỷ Tinh Part II". Guests will be dazzled by a showcase of extravagant and beautiful Áo Dài created by world-renowned designers. The Áo Dài Festival (ADF) has gained recognition for promoting Vietnamese arts and culture in the Bay Area and beyond. More than just a fund raising event, ADF has become a highly anticipated spectacle celebrating music, arts, fashion, and culture with the Áo Dài, the iconic Vietnamese national costume, as its principal inspiration.
