Everfest's Take

From the Organizer

The Wildlife Conservation Film Festival (WCFF) MISSION is to inform, engage and inspire audiences about the need for and importance of the protection of global biodiversity. The WCFF does this through the annual film festival in New York and Beijing, the annual biodiversity conference in New York. WCFF also engages in monthly programs in New York and other cites that include film screenings, business & social networking events, and presentations. WHAT WE DO The WCFF produces signature events around the finest independent films from around the world. We cover topics across the fields of natural history and the conservation of biodiversity. Our films connect the dots between saving species from extinction and preserving the Earth’s precious resources of food, water and clean air. The WCFF is the first organization of its kind to present an issue that has widespread public support in a powerful visual forum, showing how wildlife preservation impacts our day-to-day lives. The WCFF attracts international audiences of all ages and inspires viewers with renewed purpose. We honor the projects and causes that individuals sometimes risk their lives to pursue. The Wildlife Conservation Film Festival is a must-attend event for thought leaders in biodiversity, film and major conservation organizations. We provide a unique setting to interact directly with conservation experts and filmmakers, often via one-on-one conversation. WCFF brings together activists, film directors & producers, non-governmental enthusiasts, representatives of the public and private sector, scientists, youth, and scholars as well as wide audiences from all walks of life. The WCFF promotes programs and projects that contribute to the protection of biodiversity and sustainability. The WCFF creates public awareness that facilitates inspiration into action so biodiversity will be permanently protected across the globe. EDUCATION OUTREACH The WCFF education outreach program delivers content to thousands of secondary and post secondary institutions. This is achieved through the platform of media, live presentation from filmmakers, environmental scientists and expert wildlife conservationists. WHO ATTENDS THE WCFF The WCFF attracts thousands of attendees from the conservation, education, wildlife film and travel industries.
