Boogie all night long
At Astral Harvest's latitude the sun doesn't drop until the wee hours, and the DJs don't stop until it rises again. There are shows at 2 am, 4 am, 5:30 am; prepare for a weekend of all-nighters.
Get your hula-hoop on
Everyone is doing it, and there's no excuse not to join them. The marketplace sells glittery hula-hoops, while daytime workshops teach you how to spin them, and the twirling masses invite you to join the hoop fun once the music erupts.
Paint with new friends
Walk around and you'll find loads of people sitting on the ground, heads bent over a community canvas, paint brushes astir, creating wild art together. The scene is open to all.
Hit the beach
Yep, Astral Harvest has a beach. It stretches along a river, has more rocks than sand, and the water is flipping cold. But it's where folks relax during the day.
Bring a yoga mat
Facilitators lead loads of chill-out classes throughout the fest.
Getting There
The nearest big airport is in Edmonton, Alberta's capital city. From there it is a 3.5-hour drive north to the festival grounds. It takes 6.5 hours to drive from Calgary, 14 hours from Vancouver.
