Bring your kids
Splashy Fen is a very family friendly festival and there are activities for children of all ages. For the parents, there is also a child minding service.
Get active
There are plenty of activities to do in the surrounding area including hikes, horse riding, quad biking and much more.
Pack your inflatables
The weather has been known to get rather hot during the day so it is popular for people to go swimming or laze about in the river.
Leave all glass objects at home
Glass bottles and containers are strictly forbidden and will be confiscated if found on entry.
Getting There
There are daily flights arriving into Durban’s King Shaka International Airport (DUR).
Lodging
Camping at Splashy Fen is included in the ticket price and festival-goers are free to camp in any of the unrestricted areas. Be warned that things have been known to get muddy after a heavy downpour. If roughing it isn't really your thing, try out their two "glamping" options in the form of the Splashy Teepee and the Harambee Tented Village. There is also a wide selection of hotels, self-catering cottages, backpacker lodges and guest houses in and around nearby Underberg, many of which are within easy reach for those happy to travel in and out every day.
