Strawberry shortcake. Strawberry jam. Strawberry ice cream. Chocolate covered strawberries...ok, ok--you get the idea. I could sit here all day and drool over all the delicious ways the succulent red fruit is prepared, but trust me--you want to taste it all for yourself. Strawberry Festivals! Need I say more? Every Spring, tens of thousands of people gather nationwide to celebrate the harvest, listen to live music, and partake in the picking festivities. Some of the fests--like Pungo Strawberry Festival in Virginia Beach--include a massive parade and two days of strawberries prepared in over 50 different ways.
