Motion Notion stole our hearts yet again this year. With its gorgeous setting, epic line-up, and friendly faces, MONO is a truly unique festival experience. Here are some of our favorite moments from this magical weekend in the Rocky Mountains!
10. Beachside Shenanigans
Motion Notion has one of the most gorgeous glacier run-off rivers we’ve ever seen. It’s icy cold but totally refreshing, and by its side you’ll find the most daytime fun.
9. Kytami at The Cabana Stage
Kytami is a West Coast Bass Music fave. It’s always a pleasure to see the massive amount of energy she gives the crowd during her performances.
8. Meeting New People
The attendees of Motion Notion are incredibly fun, creative and lighthearted. The people are really what make the weekend special.
7. Datsik at The Cabana
At a Datsik set you can always expect some seriously high energy, and this was no exception. It’s amazing to watch both performer and crowd go absolutely nuts.
6. Unbridled Self-Expression
This is often the best part of any music festival. Motion Notion (often called MONO) is an intimate, boutique festival experience – so you truly feel free to be you, in all your wacky glory.
5. Stickybuds’ Surprise Beach Party Set at The Ancient Gardens Stage
On Sunday afternoon, the revelers on the beach got a special treat – a three-hour set from Kelowna superstar Stickybuds. The vibes on the beach were the best of the weekend.
4. Slynk at The Temple Stage
One of the best dance floor sessions of the weekend!
3. The Gorgeous Location, Beaverfoot Lodge in Golden, BC
Whether it was spending a shady afternoon exploring the forest, or watching mountainous sunsets in awe, nothing beats MONO’s locale.
2. K+Lab at The Cabana Stage
Keytar hero K+Lab performed another one of his deliciously funky and bass-injected sets for the partiers who filled up The Cabana’s dance floor.
1. And Our Favorite Magical Moment Goes To…The Funk Hunters at The Temple Stage!
The West Coast duo brought positive energy, upbeat dance tracks, and (of course) the funkiest of grooves to The Temple Stage. The general consensus was that this was one of the funnest moments of the weekend.
