This Memorial Day Weekend, Mysteryland makes its US debut at the iconic site of the original Woodstock ’69 in Bethel Woods, New York, and it’s sure to be nothing short of amazing. Truly a place where the dreamers dream, the multi-day festival is an immersive experience that will leave you wondering if you actually went down the rabbit hole. These tips and tricks will help you fully enhance your trip away from reality at this once-in-a-lifetime event.

1. Shuttles To & From NYC, Jersey, and Philly

Shuttles leave from NYC’s Grand Central Station, New Jersey’s Newark Liberty International Airport, and Philadelphia’s 30th street station to and from the festival Saturday and Sunday, making it easier than ever to enjoy a day or two of the festival without the full camping experience.

2. Fill Up On Gas Before You Park

There will be a mad rush to the closest gas stations when the festival as people are leaving the parking lot Monday. Avoid delays by filling up before you enter the festival.

3. Prepare for Rain

And cold weather! As of now, the forecast for Friday and Saturday is projecting highs in the low-60s and lows in the mid-40s at night with rain likely on both days. Bring plenty of clothes to bundle up in at night and zip block bags to store your clothes in the tent so nothing gets wet.

4. Walkie Talkies

If you’ve ever been to a music festival, you already know how bad cell phone service can be even with a cell tower near. Bethel Woods is rumored to already have poor reception, so come prepared with sets of Walkie Talkies to easily keep in contact with your friends.

5. Pack a Picnic

Although eating every meal at Brooklyn’s Smorgasburg Food Fest would be incredibly delicious, it may not be too easy on your bank account. Save some extra cash by bringing your own food (bread, peanut butter, breakfast bars, and other simple snacks) to get you through the day. Staying hydrated at festivals is very important, and Mysteryland will provide plenty of free water refill stations throughout the festival and camp grounds where you can fill up your empty water bottle or CamelBak.

6. Holy Ground Campers Get a Bonus Welcoming Party Friday Night

So arrive early. Deep house sets will start as early as noon at the Camping Circus to get the festival spirit going. Nicky Romero Presents: Protocol NY Reboot starts at 6pm and features sets from Michael Calfan, Vicetone, John Dahlback, Don Diablo, and Tritonal. A “surprise guest” is also on the roster and will mostly likely be Nicky Romero, double bonus!

7. Arrive with Friends to Reserve Joint Camping Spaces

The only way to ensure that you will be camping next to your friends is if you arrive and check in together. There is no other way to reserve spaces for friends.

8. No Ins & Outs

You are allowed to make multiple trips from your car to the entrance of the festival, but once you scan your wristband you will not be allowed to leave again and regain access. Many people are already under the assumption they can head back to their car when necessary to charge their phones, grab a change of clothes, etc. Don’t make that mistake. Come prepared with necessary items such as portable cell phone charges.

9. Mysteryland is a Cash-Free Festival

As the first US festival to follow suite of the many cashless European events, Mysteryland will allow you to pre-load money onto your wristband via their website. You will be able to scan your wristband at any vendor throughout the grounds. Any money not spent at the festival will be refunded to you, making this feature fun and worry-free.

10. Buy What You Need

If you forget to pack an essential item or two, you can visit the festival’s general store where various items are available to purchase with a quick swipe of your wristband.

11. There Will be a Meteor Shower!

How amazing is that?! On May 24th, scientists have predicted a meteor shower of over 200 meteors per hour. The best viewing time will be at 3:30am. Gaze at the stars as Mother Nature provides her own finale to a full day of dancing, sending this enchanting experience to new heights.

Mysteryland will provide music lovers with the chance to relive a piece of the magic of Woodstock ’69. Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity to dive into a world of unique culture, creative arts, and the Holy Grail of electronic dance music.
