The creme de la creme of dance acts converged this past weekend at Creamfields , the UK festival that hosts the biggest gathering of EDM fans in England.
Its history goes like this: Cream, located at the Nation nightclub in Liverpool, is one of the best-known house music nightclubs in the world. From October 1992 to June 2002, Cream ran a weekly house music night each Saturday at Nation featuring various international DJ superstars. The success of these weekly music nights led Cream to organizing its first international event in the award-winning nightclub Amnesia, on the party island of Ibiza, Spain. To this day, Amnesia continues to host Cream house music nights earning its title as the longest-running UK club night on the party isle. Propelled by this overseas success, Cream launched into the UK outdoor festival market in 1998—and Creamfields was born.
With 200 artists that fill 11 stages over three days, partygoers always expect huge LED screens, VIP lounges, cocktail bars, fairground rides, and silent discos to complete their oversized rave experience. And with a lineup boasting acts like The Chemical Brothers (!), Avicii, Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, Fatboy Slim, Hardwell, Armin van Buuren, Knife Party, Alesso, Gorgon City, and BBC Radio 1's Annie Mac, it's no wonder the kids keep coming back for more.
