Though the first day of Dimensions Festival was cut short due to rain, the influential Croatian event came back swinging. Celebrating its sixth year of existence, the festival's organizers put together lineup featuring its heaviest bill of live acts and selectors to date.

Held in a 200-year-old fortress in Pula, Croatia, overlooking the Adriatic Sea, the festival's main stage feels epic without being huge, thanks an almost unparalleled dedication to excellent soundsystems that extends to all of their seven different stages.

In fact, Dimensions has built its foundations on soundsystem culture. The team behind the festival (who also run Outlook in the same location) sets out to deliver the best in electronic music year on year and their world-class lineups, production and attention to detail when it comes to sound quality consistently impress. Premier names from house, techno and more leftfield electronic genres arrive in Croatia every year with one mission: to unite the crowd with the very best music they can. The return of certain names year on year is also a testament to the festival’s appeal. When the artists like it as much as the festies, you know you’re onto a good thing.

This year saw the all-powerful, all-magical enigma Grace Jones headlining the opening concert, alongside Moderat, Yussef Kamaal and Moses Boyd, plus over 80 more names including Jeff Mills, Theo Parrish, Floating Points, Cymande, Nina Kraviz, Danny Krivit, Ata Kak, Hessle Audio, Levon Vincent and more bringing sonic explorations from house, techno, soul, disco, jazz, dub, R&B, world and beyond.
