Seasoned festival organizers from all over the globe are putting down roots in tropical locations like crazy these days. From Bamboo Bass in Costa Rica, to Tmrw.Tday Culture Fest in Jamaica, to the brand-new Vujaday Music Festival in Barbados, there are plenty of reasons for music lovers, adventure fanatics, and the culturally curious to chase those endless summer vibes these events offer.
This spring, we have our sights set on the five-day Vujaday Music Festival. With the warm temps of Barbados and beaches galore to get that summer feeling started early, it's already an easy sell. But there are myriad other reasons to put your money on Vujaday's debut this festival season. Read on and find out.
Vujaday will bring renowned house and techno artists from around the world together for its debut bash, including Art Department, Lee Burridge, Justin Martin, Peggy Gou, Green Velvet and many more talented names. Artists on the festival will represent well-known labels and crews like All Day I Dream, Desert Hearts, Crew Love, and Dirtybird. And there are more artists to be announced soon!
The Postcard-esque Location
Guests attending Vujaday will get the chance to explore the beautiful Caribbean island of Barbados while attending the festival, as events take place throughout the postcard-esque island during the week-long experience. Vujaday is also the first major festival to take place in Barbados, so you can bet the city will roll out the welcome mat for attendees.
The Pros Behind It All
Behind Vujaday is a team of Toronto-based producers with decades of experience in the live event space. These industry veterans are responsible for putting on Toronto-based events like Digital Dreams Music Festival, Electric Island, World Electronic Music Festival and All Day I Dream. The founders have also owned and operated world-renowned clubs in Toronto such as Footwork Nightclub, Coda, The Hoxton and The Velvet Underground, along with working on festivals outside of Toronto including Further Future.
Exploring and Adventures
You won’t have to pick a spot in the sand and stay there; instead, Vujaday lets you take the wheel to get the most out of your island adventure. This theme persists even when you aren’t dancing at the beach, whether you’re checking out historic locations like Harrison’s Cave, going kite-surfing or scuba-diving, embarking on an island safari, or going on a rum tour through the oldest existing rum brewery in the world. More details on what Barbados has to offer can be found on Vujaday's website.
Shuttles on Shuttles
To make transportation easy, the festival is selling Shuttle Passes that allow for unlimited use of Vujaday shuttle transportation to and from event locations and partner hotels for all five days of the festival during hours of operation. This means you will get to take in the beautiful sights of Barbados while relaxing and letting someone else do all the hard work.
