The American version of Dutch superfest Mysteryland returns for its 2nd edition this weekend on Woodstock's historic grounds in Bethel Woods, NY. The festivities unofficially begin Friday, May 22 with an exclusive campers-only opening party on the festival grounds featuring Richie Hawtin, A-Trak, Josh Wink, Maceo Plex, GTA, and Tropkillaz, followed by days on days of world-class beats. A stellar lineup isn't the only piece of the puzzle, though. Mysteryland is renowned for epic production design, bringing a signature, next-level visual experience to its attendees.

Though the Main Stage won't roll out until the weekend for the largest headliners, the Boat and Pineapple stages provide an intimately large place to experience. Mysteryland is famed for a free-spirited, whimsical attitude towards its lineup and aesthetic, and it's the same story with Mysteryland USA (MLUSA). Stages this year will be presented by Matthew Dear and his Subversions family , Adam Beyer and his Drumcode label, Bro Safari’s Animal House , New York nightlife leaders Verboten and Webster Hall , and tons more. This year, the festival’s famous Mysteryland Closing Ceremony will span two nights, each round boasting a crazy fireworks display.

Smaller stages and stage events include T he Beatport Stage with various musicians at the helm, The Boat, Verboten hosted by THUMP , Bangon! NYC, The Pineapple Paradise, Owari No Sai by Sin Salida , Healing Garden, a Speaker Series, Risky Disko. Of course, food gets a headlining spot too, with food meccas Eats N’Beats and The Smorgasburg Food Fest feeding you all weekend long. Luckily for the fest's US audience, the same production crew that created the outrageously ornate and wildly detailed stages to Mysteryland Netherlands has done the same in Woodstock, NY.

You'll come for the music, but stay for the outrageously innovative stage design that will keep you staring for hours, completely transfixed. Below are the best of the best from the Mysteryland Netherlands through the years to give us all a hint of what's to come this weekend in Bethel Woods.
