Austin City Limits has finished its first weekend run, and is gearing up for another.

Since the inaugural festival in 2002, the festival has featured the best in alternative rock, folk, hip-hop and electronic music. ACL expanded to two weekends in 2012 and tops 75,000 attendees per day over the three-day festival weekend.

The festival grew out of the popular and long-running PBS series "Austin City Limits," which features musical performances from bands and singers attending the festival. The show went from showcasing local Texas talent to mixing of old and new sounds and names on the scene.

This year's festival is sold out, but you can catch special performances from ACL's biggest names on your local PBS affiliate.
