Although much of Oregon is gearing up for the total solar eclipse next week, many festies seeking a more chill time in the forest headed to Beloved Festival this past weekend. Beloved, held in Tidewater, Oregon, celebrated its 10th anniversary this year with a stellar lineup of the sacred music for which it's come to be renowned. The festival's awe-inspiring gamut of genres from all over the globe unfold on One Stage, which keeps vibes high and unifies attendees with its curated arc of mesmerizing artistry, as everyone grooves together over the course of four days.

This year saw the likes of Amadou & Mariam, Random Rab  the Yemeni harmonies of A-Wa, reggae legends The Itals, Tuvan throat singing legends Huun-Huur-Tu, and underground favorites like House of Waters on Beloved's bill. There was also Latin-inspired dance music from Nickodemus and Captain Planet, as well as world music from Amjad Ali Khan and Khun Narin's psychedelic music from Thailand, and much more.

Apart from the music, Beloved offers lots of amazing live art, speakers and yoga workshops, and ecstatic dance sessions. It's also a place where families come to experience a break from daily life together in an opportunity to reconnect and grow. There aren't any 21-year-olds looking for the nearest rave here. Instead, you'll see babies hanging out with grandparents, groups of friends catching up with stories and laughter, meditative tea parties enjoyed with intention, and plenty of embraces.
