True to this year's theme, the "Year of Colour," Bestival was a rainbow splash of joyous hues – in the fest's stage lights, in the art installations and activities, and all over attendees' bodies. It is Britain's wildest costume party, after all.
This year the festival unveiled its new home at Lulworth Castle in Devon, an awesome Happy Kanye art installation (a fun twist on those infamous Sad Kanye memes), a massive bouncy castle, and the world's largest confetti cannon, in addition to its other attractions such as the world's largest disco ball, two massive astronauts holding court over the grounds, and the much-photographed clockwork robot.
This year's musical offerings ranged from Dizzee Rascal, to The xx, to the Cuban Brothers, A Tribe Called Quest, Pet Shop Boys, Justice, Little Dragon, Soul Wax, Rag'n'Bone Man, Danny Brown, Laura Mvula, DJ Shadow, and many more.
Despite some intense wind, rain, and the resulting mud bogs created from such classic British weather, Bestival's inimitable spirit of playful partying shone on. The photos below prove it.
