The High Sierra Music Festival  is one of our local favorites here at Fest300. A fun, laid-back vibe, unpretentious crowd and gorgeous Sierra Mountain backdrop setting makes for an overall spectacular shredfest

In addition to the stellar daytime lineup with String Cheese Incident, John Butler Trio and Umphrey's McGee, the festival has now released its schedule of late-night shows that start well after the sun goes down. Extra sets are coming down from headliners ALO, MarchFourth Marching Band, The California Honeydrops, Galactic, Lotus and much more. Expect a mix of old and new during these nighttime sets – there's a lot of energy, and an older crowd.

ALSO! For the first time ever, High Sierra has announced daily costume themes. From their site:

THURSDAY - Cosmic Daydream – Get your astral on and celebrate the full moon and all things celestial with a tribute to the Sierra sky’s heavenly bodies.
FRIDAY - Silver Linings - Break out your silver, shimmery, shiny and metallic coverings and join us in celebrating our 25th “Silver” Annual Festival.
SATURDAY - Stars & Stripes (Red, White & Blue) – Get your independence on with a nod to Old Glory and celebrate July 4th with your favorite stars and stripes or red, white and blue get-up. Spangalicious!
SUNDAY - 60’s Sunday - 25 years of High Sierra and 50 years of Grateful Dead will be celebrated this special weekend. Let’s pay tribute to the transformative era so much of the music we love was born out of. Retro? Flower power? Mod? Get far out, man.

Tickets for these shows sold-out last year before the festival itself, so make sure you snatch up the ones you want now!
