A few months ago, we reported on rumors of an epic-sounding new comedy festival in the works from Comedy Central, Superfly, and Another Planet Entertainment (producers of Bonnaroo and Outside Lands). This week, after much edge-of-our-seats anticipation, concrete details have finally materialized in the form of a flashy new website for what is now known as the Colossal Clusterfest.

Under the tagline “Comedy. Music. Comedy.”, the festival – to be held in San Francisco, California from June 2-4, 2017 – will bring together a seriously impressive collection of comedic talent across five stages. Because, of course – who has more pull in this realm than Comedy Central?

Headlining on the comedy side will be Jerry Seinfeld, Kevin Hart, Bill Burr, Sarah Silverman & Friends, Broad City, Hannibal Buress, Bob Odenkirk, Nerdist’s Chris Hardwick, Fred Armisen, Anthony Jeselnik, Reggie Watts and Tig Notaro. On the music end of things, the likes of Ice Cube, Tegan and Sara, Lil Dicky (a seemingly natural fit here), Chromeo, Vince Staples, Princess featuring Maya Rudolph and Gretchen Lieberum, and a Superjam (Superfly’s signature!) featuring Les Claypool’s Bastard Jazz, comedian Moshe Kasher, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, comedian Natasha Leggero, and Pete Davidson. And that just scratches the surface; there are many more names on the full lineup.

Apart from the many live performances, the festival will also feature attractions based on some of the most legendary comedy shows ever to grace television screens: South Park, Seinfield, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Attendees will be able to immerse themselves in mini worlds based on these shows. For instance, the Seinfeld one will have a full-scale reproduction of Jerry’s apartment, and a “Festivus Pole that will be host to the world’s largest Festivus celebration, including (of course) feats of strength and the airing of grievances.”

Additional festival activities will see a Broad City paint-by-numbers mural attendees will help paint, and a Drunk History Drunk Tank. And of course, with the festival taking place in the Bay Area, an emphasis on delicious food by decorated local chefs will delight each and every hungry, slap-happy festival-goer.

Early Bird tickets go on sale on March 2, 2017 at 10 am PST. There’s no news as to whether the Clusterfest will become an annual event, so expect all tickets to go quickly.
