The makeup has been wiped from faces, the masks and costumes put back in closets and normal identities resumed, but the photos of Comic-Con International's cosplayers from this year live on.

It may sound cliché at this point, but the costumes at Comic-Con alone are practically worth the price of admission. With tens of thousands of self-proclaimed nerds and super-fans descending on the San Diego, California, event for one summer weekend each year, there's guaranteed cosplay eye candy everywhere you turn at Comic-Con. This past weekend, Wonder Woman, Star Wars, Westworld, and Game of Thrones were all ecstatically represented, with many iconic characters, shows and movies honored in between.
