It's crazy to think – looking at this stacked lineup – of Creamfields humble beginnings back in the 90s. Cream, located at the Nation nightclub in Liverpool, is one of the best-known house music nightclubs in the world. From October 1992 to June 2002, Cream ran a weekly house music night each Saturday at Nation featuring various international DJ superstars.

The success of these weekly music nights led Cream to organizing its first international event in the award-winning nightclub Amnesia, on the party island of Ibiza, Spain. To this day, Amnesia continues to host Cream house music nights earning its title as the longest-running UK club night on the party isle. Propelled by this overseas success, Cream launched into the UK outdoor festival market in 1998 — and Creamfields was born.

The Creamfields festival held its first gathering in 1998 in Winchester, UK, attracting 25,000. Its first international event was in 2000 in Dublin, Ireland. This quickly spawned other Creamfields festivals—Buenos Aires, Argentina being the most successful spinoff, attracting 65,000 people in 2005 to make it the biggest one-day festival in Latin America.

With over 300 artists set to fill 30 stages over four days, partygoers can expect huge LED screens, VIP lounges, cocktail bars, fairground rides, and silent discos to complete their oversized rave experience. This is the biggest Creamfields ever, and fittingly so, for its epic 20th anniversary blowout.

Creamfields takes place August 24-27, 2017 over the UK's Bank Holiday Weekend. Grab tickets here.
