There's something about kids at (the right kinds of) festivals that keeps us grounded. Seeing them see all of the usual festival craziness for the first time can shake us to our jaded cores and return us to our egoless, curiosity-filled days of yore. The lights, the sounds, the costumes, the strangers poised to become new friends...all of it feels new again when we put ourselves in the tiny shoes of the tiniest festies.
