In celebration of its 2016 edition and core Art and Revolution messages, DGTL Festival just released the official aftermovie for its event that held Amsterdam in its grip during Easter Weekend. In its ambitious ten minutes, DGTL hints at multiple underlying meanings in the video while taking the viewer on a visual tour de force full of raw, hard-edged industrial footage.

Its tension builds slowly with footage of huge dish satellites, megaphones and other communication devices, picking up scattered messages from a range of different voices. Shots of festival-goers are interspersed, and we see them using their phones and speaking to one another in person. As a firm electronic soundtrack and more and more modern day communication devices are introduced, one of the central themes becomes clear: progress. Whether in communication, technology or music, everything and everyone is influenced by such progress. How does progress impact our daily lives and decisions?

Apart from its message, the aftermovie stands out for its spine-tingling action footage from the various sets and stages during DGTL Festival’s sold-out fourth edition.

Next up for DGTL is Barcelona, where the organization will be hosting its two-day festival at Parc del Fòrum, from August 12-14, bringing along an innovative lineup containing DGTL favorites as well as new and unexpected acts from the house and techno realm.
