At Dimensions it’s a bit like revisiting the play forts and dens you made as a kid, but instead of cushions and parts of your couch, it’s an actual abandoned fort. Boasting an awe-inspiring location and big and bashy soundsystems to match, electronica aficionados with a lust for beach stomping have been heading to Dimensions Festival in Fort Punta Christo since 2012.

The sun-kissed event went down at the end of August with a lineup exploding with scene cred. The team behind the festival (who also run Outlook Festival in the same location) sets out to deliver the best in electronic music year on year and its world-class lineups, production and attention to detail when it comes to sound quality consistently impresses. Premier names from house, techno and more leftfield electronic genres arrive in Croatia every year with one mission: to unite the crowd with the very best music they can. With trailblazers and early innovators of the techno scene from Detroit to Berlin on board, it’s hard not to get gushy and starstruck about the delights that are on offer, especially when names like Massive Attack, Kamasi Washington, Richie Hawtin, Jeremy Underground, and many more are on the list, as they were this year.

Whether you strike the balance between raving all night and relaxing all day, or make the most of the daytime fun; vibing boat parties, CDR workshops and beach parties there is plenty to explore at this taste-making Croatian festival.
