Djakarta (Jakarta) is the megalopolis capital of Indonesia, making it the perfect home for the 12th annual Djakarta Warehouse Project, which is far and away the most successful EDM event in South East Asia. That's why we named it one of Asia's best music festivals

The festival's 2015 event was the most extravagant and free-spirited dance party yet, a vibe that is cinematically captured in its 18-minute aftermovie. After a tone-setting intro using the evocative quote, "We're fools whether we dance or not, so we might as well dance," the film transports you into the vast confines of the Jiexpo Kemayoran Hall and right into the pulse of the multicultural crowd of revelers. Flags from all over the world wave in the crowd as decadent lights and marvelous pyrotechnics displays burst around headliners like Porter Robinson, Tiesto, Major Lazer, and more. With 75,000 attendees dancing away, DWP is one of the most iconic festivals in Asia.

Check out the aftermovie above — if only for the veritable mixtape of tracks from the festival's performers — to feel the energy of this two-day EDM fest and experience DWP's big "Thank you to all of you dreamers."

The festival returns in December 9-10, 2016, and you can register to stay up to date on ticket info now. If you ever wanted a chance to experience festival life in Southeast Asia, this is the place to start.
