Sure, a new music festival called Lost Lake is coming down the pipeline in Arizona later this year, but Arizona's original cool-as-hell fest is indisputably FORM Arcosanti. Set in the experimental eco-city of Arcosanti in Arizona's rocky high desert, FORM is one of the most cutting-edge festival gatherings in America.
At just 1,500 attendees, the festival has everyone apply for tickets to ensure high levels of participation and passion for the programming FORM offers. Highly curated performances – this year, by the likes of Solange, James Blake, Chelsea Wolfe, Christopher Willits, Father John Misty, Bing & Ruth, Future Islands, Deafheaven, Skrillex, Mount Eerie, Mitski, and more – are intimate yet immersive, and art is everywhere. Conversations and presentations are thoughtful, open and progressive. Arcosanti's structures hold a history of future-minded thought and ambitious hopes for the way we live on this planet, and that vibe is imbued into FORM as a standout in the festival world.
