Autumn rolls across Golden Gate Park welcoming San Francisco's unofficial summer weather and the city's largest (and free!) festival. Warren Hellman's 13-year-old Hardly Strictly Bluegrass is an annual 3-day musical gift to the Bay Area bringing performances this year by Bonnie Raitt, Conor Oberst, Gogol Bordello, perennial favorite Emmylou Harris, and over 100 other acts. It's a mellow gathering of hippies, families, hipsters, and music aficionados noshing and drinking at picnics throughout the park.
