High Sierra Music Festival (HSMF) is a lovely little festival. Just a few hours north of San Francisco in Quincy, California, HSMF takes place every year around the July 4th weekend. The jam-friendly fest serves up nearly 96 jam-packed hours of bluegrass, funk, reggae, jazz, alt-country and some whimsical fusions like “newgrass” and “country punk.” For the electronica fans among us, those famed late night sets have you covered. Even if you're not a jam band lover, it's nothing but good vibes at this one.

July will arrive before we know it, and this initial lineup is bursting with scene favorites thanks to more than a few familiar faces from years past. Between July 5-8, lovers of this unpretentious shredfest get two nights of String Cheese Incident , roots-rock artist Sturgill Simpson , Lettuce, The California Honeydrops, Turkuaz, The Wood Brothers, Lotus, The Barr Brothers, Antibalas, and more. See why we think HSMF is one of the best jam music festivals in the country.

High Sierra Music Festival is July 5-8, 2018 at Las Plumas County Fairground in Quincy, California. Tickets are now on sale here.
