Australia's intimate house- and techno-focused Chi Wow Wah Town has wrapped and streams of dreamy photos are trickling onto the internet. A mix of international and Australian musicians performed for 1,200 attendees this year, including Robag Wruhme, The Glitz, Andreas Henneberg, Rampue, Gabe, Uone, Sven Dohse (it was his first gig in Australia!), and more. This year, there was a heavier focus on interactive, immersive art installations – like Endorphinmachine by Daniel Popper, Spaceship by Metatron tribe, Glitzer by James Bro & Orgazmatro Sparella by Steffi Superheiglig – and decor, which amped up the trippy ambiance (especially when the lights came on at night) to the gorgeous Victorian forests in which the fest resides.

2016 was also the first year Chi Wow Wah Town put its sustainability and waste reduction efforts at the forefront. Festies found a fresh emphasis on carpooling to the fest, composting toilets, reusable cups at the bars, and a leave-no-trace ethos.
