Insomniac always knows how to keep its ultra devoted Headliners happy. Whether we're talking about the company's wild and whimsical production, its literally larger-than-life stages that get bigger every year, or its consistently huge lineups, Pasquale Rotella's empire keeps growing and growing and growing for a reason: There's just simply no other experience quite like an Insomniac experience.

That's why the news today of its newest festival venture, Middlelands, is so exciting. Unlike many of Insomniac's festivals, which take place in or very near metropolitan centers, this one is in teeny tiny Todd Mission, Texas – a town 50 miles from Houston with a population of 146 that also plays host to the behemoth Texas Renaissance Festival each year. From the looks of Middlelands' medieval castle-esque logo, it seems as though the event offer some hat tips to its host town's original flagship event. A Renaissance-themed rave? The concept has us intrigued (even though we know that's a pretty silly idea).

That'll be a bit hard to confirm, however, as there aren't any details available about the festival as of yet. Insomniac has described the Spring 2017 event as "a whole new festival experience unlike anything you’ve ever seen before" offering music and camping for attendees. What is interesting is that Insomniac is partnering with C3 Presents, the company behind Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, and Voodoo Music + Arts Experience. "An adventure for the ages awaits," says Insomniac.
