From a fest organizer's point of view, it makes sense that one of the biggest stars in the world would headline one of the biggest and best music festivals in the world – but Glastonbury's devoted fans are not about to let Kanye West top the bill at the UK megafest without putting up a fight.

NME's reporting today on the outrage exploding across Twitter from angry music lovers who feel Yeezus has no place on Glastonbury's stage. When the news was unleashed by organizer Emily Eavis, complaints ranging from "If Kanye West is headlining glastonbury I'm sending my ticket back," to calling Kanye's addition a "bandwagon booking," to Twitter user @NettoFabulous declaring "Someone should tell Kanye that Glastonbury is a music festival and not a Kanye gig with thousands of support acts." And get this, there's even a full-blown petition on Change.org making the rounds (and very close to getting its goal of 50K signatures) to try and halt Kanye's performance headlining Saturday night in favor of a rock band.

If we know Kanye, it's pretty obvious he'll feed off the hate and unleash a diatribe or two during his Glasto performance against those who opposed him. After all, Yeezus will take any opportunity to hear himself talk. Foo Fighters (a rock band!) and Lionel Richie are already confirmed to top this year's bill. Will you be signing the petition, or are you among Kanye's supporters?
