Lightning in a Bottle is right around the corner, which means it's prime time to begin bumping tracks by choice artists in preparation. Soundcloud is one of our favorite ways to dive deep into artists' repertoires, so we've compiled streams from a handful of sonic wizards on LIB's 2017 lineup.

Bomba Estéreo, Lightning Stage

Bomba Estéreo ("stereo bomb" in English) is a pair of Colombian pop superstars that'll be firing on all cylinders at LIB with their infectious, wildly energetic blend of hip-hop and traditional Colombian vallenato, cumbia and chapenta rhythms. Call them "electro tropical," "psychedelic cumbia," whatever – Bomba Estéreo is a can't-miss at LIB. The pair will only play for an hour on Friday night; don't miss a fuego start to the fest.

Bomba Estéreo: Friday; 11:15pm - 12:15am; Lightning Stage.

Jhené Aiko, Lightning Stage

Jhené Aiko's drifty voice is refined, full of soul, and it's coming to LIB. In R&B's downtempo world, Aiko is one to watch. Most recently, she lent vocal chops to some of rap's hottest tracks with Drake, Big Sean and J-Cole, and paired up with 6LACK for February single, "First F*ck." We couldn't have said it better. This is music to hang and bang to. Aiko will steal the spotlight. If we're lucky, we may even get new music from her Saturday set; her last album dropped in 2014, so she's ripe to debut fresh material.

Jhené Aiko: Saturday; 9:30 - 10:30pm; Lightning Stage.

Thao & The Get Down Stay Down, Lightning Stage

A household name in the Bay Area music scene for years, Thao & The Get Down Stay Down will get their due on LiB's Main Stage. Playful beats, basslines and guitars, Thao Nguyen and her band are kinda folky, kinda punky, completely good-vibey. Front and center at the Lightning Stage is where this band belongs.

Thao & the Get Down Stay Down: Sunday, 7:45 - 8:45pm; Lightning Stage.

Paper Diamond, Thunder Stage

Prefer wub wub wub over the untz untz untz? Look no further than The Thunder Stage, LiB's land of heavy wub. Multifaceted trap boss Paper Diamond will blow your hair back and your eardrums out as you're Wylin' Out.

Paper Diamond: Sunday; 9:30 - 11pm; Thunder Stage.

Dimond Saints, Thunder Stage

Thunder Stage's other "diamond," this gem of a track from Dimond Saints backs up their status as rising stars in bass music. Based out of Oakland, California, the duo pushes creative limits with those deep, sexy bass blasts. Guaranteed we'll hear a lot more from Dimond Saints. Thunder fans, you ready for this one?

Dimond Saints: Saturday; 9:30 - 11pm; Thunder Stage.

MachineDrum, Thunder Stage

Self-described as "psychedelic experimental electronic" Machinedrum's glitchy, trippy, ambient electronica will take Thunder's temperature down a notch. In a hot way.

Machine Drum: Sunday; 8:00 - 9:15pm; Thunder Stage.

Leon Vynehall, Woogie Stage

Drifty, downtempo beats from Leon Vynehall are the perfect match for Friday's sundown slot at The Woogie Stage. The British deep house producer kicks off a weekend of luscious house music at the Woog with his singular style, laced with Airy synths, layered beats and shimmery atmospheres.

Leon Vynehall: Friday; 6:00 - 8:00pm; The Woogie Stage.

Richie Hawtin, Woogie Stage

Richie Hawtin. THE Richie Hawtin. One of Detroit's early techno pioneers, Hawtin caught the movement back in the early 90's. His name has been synonymous with minimal techno ever since. Hawtin's set is must-see territory, techno purist or not.

Richie Hawtin: Sunday; 12:00am - 2:00am; The Woogie Stage.

The California Honeydrops, Grand Artique

Well-known to Bay Area lovers of funk, soul, blues and R&B, California Honeydrops will be a huge draw for gRaNd ArTiQuE's easygoing crowd. Horns, trumpets, percussive flair and funky basslines are in no short supply at a Honeydrops show. Vibes will be strong; the smiles will be stronger.

The California Honeydrops: Saturday, 7:15pm - 8:45pm; Grand Artique

Dirtwire, Grand Artique

Folktronica fans will tell you that Dirtwire has an intriguing brand of Americana on their hands. Featuring David Satori of Beats Antique fame, the duo's music is untraditional, rhythmic, worldly and vaguely sinister. Dirtwire tracks could easily be the soundtrack to your journey through old abandoned Western towns... were you to take such a journey... Catch them at 2:30am on Saturday, just as night heats up. We'll see you there.

Dirtwire: Saturday; 2:30am-4am; Grand Artique
