Lightning in a Bottle's Initial 2018 Lineup Looks Like No One Else's, and We Love It

Lightning in a Bottle's Phase 1 lineup was announced today, and it looks so different from every other festival lineup out there right now. Its three iconic stages - Lightning, Thunder, and Woogie - will be graced by the inventive hip-hop/R&B masters Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, Zhu, Black Madonna, GRiZ, The Glitch Mob, tUnE-yArDs, Monolink, TOKiMONSTA, Nicole Moudaber, Emancipator, Clozee, sunrise master Random Rab, the elusive Tipper, Rodriguez Jr. live, Dirtybird's Walker & Royce, and many more savvy additions, making for a unique (and female heavy!) mix of talent. And this is only the beginning!

As you may have noticed in recent years, festival lineups have suffered from a tragic trend of homogenization. There are almost no surprises left on many of the North America's most popular music festival lineups, making it harder and harder to get excited for each consecutive festival season. After all, how many times do people really wanna see The Weeknd headline a summer fest? And then there's the widespread, disappointing lack of women at the top of festival bills; thankfully, Lightning in a Bottle seems to be bucking that trend by including plenty of badass ladies for our listening (and dancing) pleasure.
