Taking a page outta his pal Drake's OVO Fest , Lil' Wayne has announced Lil' Weezyana, a festival taking place in his hometown of New Orleans' Champions Square on August 28th.

While Weezy made a splash with his exclusive-to-TIDAL-release Free Weezy Album last week, Lil' Weezyana sees Wayne giving back to the city from which he came in the greatest spirit of community. All of the festival's proceeds will benefit the city of New Orleans, which is fitting, for the event takes place on the 10th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. In an interview with Q93 FM, Wayne elaborated:

"And you know it's only right to put on a homecoming show in a weekend that means so much to the city....It's the 10th anniversary of Katrina, and it's only right."

No lineup has been posted yet, but a quasi-Hot Boys reunion has been confirmed. And considering I played BG in a "Project Bitch" lip sync video my freshman year of college, this is a little more than quasi-exciting news.

As for the venue, Champions Square is right off of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in NOLA's Central Business District (CBD) and if the seating map is any indication, it's gonna be a free for all:

Pre-sale Tickets are already a go here and the password is 10YEARS (you're welcome.) Public on-sale begins on July 11th. And even though the man himself said: "Real G's move in silence like lasagna," spread the word, cause this a positive event.
