Noise Pop Festival is celebrating the 25th anniversary of a festival that takes over just about every venue in San Francisco in Oakland for 11 days. From February 17th-27th, Noise Pop brings indie music, film, arts & culture to the Bay Area and it's truly one of the premier intimate experiences in the country. Think of it as SXSW without the panels and the first phase of the lineup is a valiant start for the fest.

The eclectic lineup of shows is highlighted by Vince Staples (who played last year's fest at much smaller venues), former SF-scene stalwart Ty Segall, comeback sets from The Radio Dept, MSTRKRFT and risers like PWR BTTM, Julia Holter and BADBADNOTGOOD. The charm here is in San Francisco's historic venues. Places like The Fillmore and Great American Music Hall and the many show-spaces within Swedish American Hall. Along with the grandeur of The Fox Theater in Oakland, Noise Pop Festival is where you can come see favorite acts or future favorites in intimate settings (Modest Mouse and The White Stripes once played tiny venues at Noise Pop Fest before they were huge; Kamasi Washington played two nights in a 500 person room last year.)

We'll be looking forward to the second phase of additions to the lineup as well as the music-centric film series announcements. All shows are individually ticketed, but all-access badges can now be had here, starting at $145 +fees. See below for the Phase 1 lineup.
