Oasis Festival in Marrakech, Morocco, has been on our festival bucket list for some time now, and it feels like 2018's lineup could be the tipping point. Unveiled in the announcement video above, a star-studded lineup shall assemble for an entire weekend of sumptuous beats under the desert sun.

Carl Cox heads Oasis's phase one reveal, followed by Derrick Carter and one-woman powerhouse (and Mixmag's 2016 "DJ of the Year") The Black Madonna, followed closely by Actress, Avalon Emerson, Mount Kimbie, Nastia, Octo Octa (live), Rødhåd, Tim Sweeney, and more.

Nestled against the stunning backdrop of the Atlas Mountains, the fourth edition will once again deliver three days of exceptional international and local music talent whilst offering a chance to dive deep into Morocco’s rich culture in this breathtaking corner of Northern Africa.

Forward thinking and decidedly uncommercial, handpicked artists drop needles in a laid-back setting Afar once described as a merger of “Moroccan culture and hipster design aesthetic.” The main Desert Oasis booth overlooks the expansive pool, which basically turns the affair into a giant pool party. The Bamboo Arena second stage is set amid stands of tall bamboo trees. Cabana-like arrangements of ottomans, pillows and chaise lounges are tucked into the landscape, so revelers literally can lie back as they listen, taking in the work of street artists creating on-the-spot masterpieces or henna artists decorating bodies.

Yoga, massage and other refreshers are part of the experience, and an on-site spa allows festival-goers to sneak away for some pampering. When the sun sinks, the scene takes on a luminous glow as artful lighting washes buildings and plants in mood-enhancing colors. The vibe, accordingly, befits its name.

Stay tuned for Phase 2 to drop. Oasis Festival goes down September 14-16, 2018.
