The marathon dance party in the beachside city of Playa Del Carmen, Mexico known as The BPM Festival wrapped this past weekend after 10 days of intimate performances by the world's top DJs, reminding dance music fans from all over that January doesn't always have to feel like the Monday of months. In fact, it straight up reminds us of Bob Marley's smooth siren song, "Sun Is Shining," in which he croons "Sun is shining, the weather is sweet. Make you wanna move your dancing feet." Pretty much sums up the tropical, dance-happy vibe of BPM, don't you think?

There are many reasons to check The BPM Festival off your bucket list, starting (but not ending) with more than 375 of the world's best beat maestros, warm temperatures and a Mexican region rich with ancient history; this renowned event transforms what would otherwise be a bunch of dreary, soggy winter days and nights into a true party paradise for both attendees and artists alike.
